Arkansas man shot while hunting in northeast Oklahoma

WEST SILOAM SPRINGS, Okla. (AP) – Authorities are investigating after an Arkansas man was fatally shot while hunting in northeastern Oklahoma.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation says the incident was reported Saturday in a wooded area about 10 miles west of West Siloam Springs, Oklahoma. The agency says several men were hunting when one shot and killed another.

The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office requested that the OSBI assist in the investigation.

The OSBI identified the victim as 28-year-old Donald Upton of Siloam Springs, Arkansas. The Oklahoma Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will perform an autopsy.

The OSBI says no arrests have been made.
