Ari Fleischer to speak at NOC Spring 2024 Renfro Lectureship Program April 2

Former White House Press Secretary, President of Ari Fleischer Communications, and FOX News Contributor Ari Fleischer will speak at Northern Oklahoma College Tonkawa on Tuesday, April 2, as part of the Carl and Carolyn Renfro Spring 2024 Renfro Endowed Lectureship Program.

The event is sponsored by the Carl and Brenda Renfro/Renfro Endowed Lectureship Program and Northern Oklahoma College/NOC Foundation. The dinner will be held at the Renfro Center starting at 6:30 p.m.

Tickets may be purchased on a first come, first served basis for the event beginning Tuesday, March 12, at 9 a.m.

As a former White House Press Secretary, Ari Fleischer was the primary spokesperson for President George W. Bush and delivered the daily White House briefings from 2001 to 2003. He served as spokesman during the historic presidential recount, September 11th, two wars, and the anthrax attack.

His best-selling book, Taking Heat, details his years in the White House and reached #7 on The New York Times best-seller list. His most recent book, Suppression, Deception, Snobbery, and Bias: Why the Press Gets So Much Wrong – And Just Doesn’t Care was released in July 2022.

Since leaving the White House, he manages Ari Fleischer Communications, a company that helps corporations and sports organizations with their communication and media needs.

He has worked for a variety of major companies and leading sports leagues, teams, schools, and individual athletes as well. He graduated from Middlebury College.

A reserved table with seating for eight may be purchased for $500, which includes dinner in the Renfro Center and Fleischer’s lecture.

Seats are available at no charge for the lecture which will be livestreamed into the Renfro Center classrooms and/or the Walcher Conference Center at NOC.

Former Oklahoma State Regent for Higher Education Carl Renfro established the Renfro Endowed Lectureship Program with a gift in 2006 to provide support for cultivating and enhancing the cultural and community enrichment offerings to northern Oklahoma on the Tonkawa campus and in the Ponca City area.
