The Ponca City public school district’s alternative school program, Wildcat Academy held its first graduation ceremony this week.

Six students finished the necessary credits to earn their high school diploma.

Wildcat Academy’s Partner In Education, Jodi Cline of Edward D. Jones, provided movie passes and Sonic gift cards.

They had cake and pizza to celebrate.

The graduates had their pictures taken in their cap and gown, and were presented the picture in a frame as a graduation gift.

Wildcat Academy director, Karla Streeter, said she was proud.

I felt like a proud momma and cried like one too,” Streeter said. “The teachers at Wildcat Academy did an awesome job helping these young people finish their courses and receive their diploma.”
