Three Po-Hi teachers receive recognition

Ponca City High Schools has created new awards to honor teachers.

Three awards were added to honor three of Po-Hi’s former faculty members, Bill McCracken, Irene Baird and Paul Ingersol.

The Bill McCraken award is for a teacher who has a good rapport with students, while still remaining professional.

The Irene Baird award is given to a teacher who makes a positive contribution to the teaching profession and his/her colleagues.

The Paul Ingersol award is given to a teacher who exemplifies an overal excellence in the teaching profession.

Krystine Muralt received the Bill McCracken award, Dan Larson got the Paul Ingersol award and Kym White was awarded the Irene Baird award.
