Po-Hi DECA Students took top honors

Ponca City High School DECA students took top honors at the state contest this week.

The group earned $60,000 in scholarships.

Winners are:

Cash VanBuskirk, Morgan Hunter and Becca Primeaux – First Place, Public Relations project "Spread the Word to End the Word."

Megan Lee and Kylie Hein-First Place, Learn and Earn Project "Opening Night 2013.

Taylor McEntire, Pryse Mullenax and Cameron Sherbon: First place, Financial Literacy Project "Teaching Teen Moms Financial Literacy."

Sydney Tyndall and Jaskon Bowker- First place, Sports and Entertain Promotional Project "Ponca City Wildcat Promotion."

Cerena Chaney and Courtney Guinn- Top five, Sports and Entertainment Marketing Team Decision Project.

Ponca City DECA also receive State DECA Chapter of the month for January and the National Deca Champter Thrive Award for chapter campaigns.

Each first place student received a $6,000 scholarship for a total of $60,000 in scholarships.

First place students will compete in May at the International DECA Conference in Atlanta.
