Lincoln Elementary School is hosting a multicultural Festival.

Students, families, friends and the community are invited to attend the festival on March 6 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

The festival is part of The Sharing the Dream Grant that Lincoln received earlier this year from the National Association of Elementary School Principals

The grant is intended to build a bridge across cultures.

Featured cultures are the African, Native American and Hispanic cultures.

Students at Lincoln have been busy creating unique designs that relate to each culture.

While getting acquainted with each culture they were able to develop a visual connection to the social influences of diversity.

Student artwork created by every student at Lincoln will be displayed.

Guest performers will present Native American storytelling and music.

In the gym, percussion instrument purchased through the grant will be featured.

Third and fifth grade students will perform African drum music during the festival.

Those attending the festival will have the opportunity to learn a Native American stone pass game and an African stick pass game.

Also during the evening, attendees can see technology presented by the Tech Club and second graders.

You can participate in an interactive presentation to see how math creates art.
