Ponca City Public Schools received their 2014 ACT scores this week showing a composite score of 21.4. Ponca City scores continue to be above the state (20.7) and national (21.0) average.

Superintendent of Schools Dr. David Pennington said, “We are pleased that once again our ACT composite average scores for the Ponca City graduating class of 2013 were above the state and national averages. Math continues to be an area that is not where we want it to be. We hope that the decision made last fall to tighten our alignment with ACT college preparedness curriculum will result in larger percentages of students meeting ACT benchmarks.”

This ACT report reflects the achievement of Ponca City graduates on the ACT over time and an indication of the extent to which they are prepared for college-level work.
