Accident claims motorcyclist

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol continues its investigation of a fatal motorcycle accident that occurred Saturday evening on State Highway 51 west of Fairgrounds Road east of Stillwater in Payne County.

Jimmy R. Ross, 49, of Glencoe was pronounced dead at the scene.

Ross was driving a 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle westbound on State Highway 51 and left the road to the right for an unknown reason. He was thrown from the motorcycle approximately 24 feet north and 15 feet east from the ending point of the motorcycle.
