OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) – The Oklahoma Department of Agriculture is hosting a public forum to discuss the growing problems associated with feral hogs across the state.

The forum will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Tuesday at Langston University’s Oklahoma City campus on North Lincoln Boulevard.

The forum will include a presentation on the continued expansion of feral hogs in Oklahoma and seek input on how to control the destructive nature and prolific reproduction of the animals.

Other items scheduled for discussion include a moratorium on new feral hog hunting facilities, a ban on the transport of feral hogs, and a $2 feral hog hunt fee to fund a tip line and reward for reports of illegal transportation of the animals.

The meeting is open to the public.
