Railroad project on U.S. Highway 177 postponed

Ponca City Now - June 17, 2015 9:27 am

A railroad improvement project on the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway has been postponed.

Ted Zachary, an engineer with the Perry office of the Oklahoma Department of Transportation, said this morning the project was delayed by BNSF. He anticipates it will take place at a future date.

The railway project was not related to the work ODOT is performing on U.S. 177, Zachary said, but was "in the middle of it."

Flaggers continue to direct motorists through the work being performed on shoulders from U.S. 412 to U.S. 64.
