PCPS Will Launch Driver’s Education Summer Course

Ponca City Public Schools will launch a new Driver’s Education Summer Course. Students enrolled in PCPS who are 15 years of age at the start of the program are eligible. The summer course will begin May 28, 2024, and end June 28, 2024. Students must complete 30 hours of in-class instruction and six hours of individual driving instruction.

The cost of the program is $225 per student. Money is due May 1 if a student is accepted into the program.

The application window will open April 3 in the PowerSchool student and parent portal. The class is limited to 40 students in the 2024 session.

Students will be admitted on a first-come, first-serve basis, based on application submission date/time. A limited number of scholarships will be available, if needed. Eligibility for scholarships will be based on financial need.

PCPS would like to thank Stuteville Chevrolet Buick GMC and Stuteville Ford for two vehicles to be utilized for the program.

Per state requirements, students must be 15 years of age by the start of the program. A phot of the student’s birth certificate must be provided in the application process.
