Marland’s Place Receives $145,000 Grant From the Masonic Charity Foundation of Oklahoma

Marland’s Place staff members Ally Broome and Caitlin Clark with board President Casey Pruitt accepted a $145,000 grant from the Masonic Charity Foundation of Oklahoma to support campus revitalization efforts.
Marland’s Place recruits, trains and supports foster families to care for children who have experienced neglect or abuse on a scale that requires the children to be removed from home. Further, no family members have stepped up to offer a kinship foster option. They are truly children in great need. Marland’s Place strives to be a hub of resources for all children in care. Our extensive campus offers multiple meeting places for family visits as well as housing a large resource closet full of clothes and other essentials for those in need. These services are open to not only our families, but any foster family seeking assistance in our area and even across the state. It is imperative we keep our facilities up to date to properly serve families in need.
The Masonic Charity Foundation of Oklahoma has committed to helping Marland’s Place provide comfortable, multi-use space for these children and other children of our community and throughout Oklahoma. This grant will allow Marland’s Place to replace 9 HVAC units, replace and repair multiple areas of flooring, upgrade the gym lighting and complete multiple other minor maintenance improvements. By completing these upgrades Marland’s Place will be able to spend more time and funding on our families, growing our team of foster parents, and making us a statewide resource to large sibling groups in care.
Marland’s Place staff, board members, foster families and volunteers are eternally grateful for the support of the Masonic Charity Foundation and cannot thank their team and board members enough for supporting our mission of bringing children together with nurturing families.
