Ponca City Wildcats Hosting First Round Play-Off Game Friday, Veterans Admitted Free

The Ponca City Wildcats will host a playoff game on Friday, November 10 at 7:00 p.m. at Sullins Stadium against Putnam City West. Game tickets are available through the OSSBA at www.gofan.co (search for Ponca City High School).

Putnam City West brings in a record of 5-5 with 2-5 in district play. The team has wins against Western Heights, Putnam City North, Putnam City, Grant and Booker T. Washington. They have losses to Tahlequah, Muskogee, Bartlesville, Charles Page and Stillwater.

The Wildcats have an identical record of 5-5 but are 5-2 in district play and finished in third place. The Cats have losses to Guthrie, Enid, Charles Page, Deer Creek and Choctaw with wins over Lawton, Putnam City North, Putnam City, Capitol Hill and Northwest Classen.

This is the second consecutive year that Ponca City has hosted a playoff game.

The OSSAA will admit veterans for FREE to the first round playoff games on Friday, November 10. If you are a veteran, either active duty, retired, reserve, or national guard, the OSSAA would like to invite you to attend the first round of playoffs. All veterans and one guest will be admitted for free. Simply show your Military ID card, or driver’s license that shows your military status at the game on Friday. Thank you veterans for your service!

All non-championship rounds of 2023 OSSAA Football Playoffs will utilize the GoFan Electronic Ticket process as the primary ticket option. Everyone, kindergarten and above, needs an admission ticket to enter. Online tickets are $8.35 per ticket through gofan.co. Cash tickets purchased at the gate will be $10.00.

Only playoff passes will be accepted. Faculty/staff ID and lifetime passes will NOT be permitted for admission as this is an OSSBA-sanctioned playoff game.
