64th Annual 101 Wild West Rodeo June 8, 9, and 10 in Ponca City

The 64th Annual 101 Wild West Rodeo will be held beginning Thursday, June 8 and continue Friday, June 9 and Saturday, June 10 at the 101 Wild West Rodeo grounds at Prospect and Ash.

There have been some updates made to the rodeo arena over the past few months thanks to a grant approved by the City of Ponca City in 2022.

New aluminum bleachers have been installed at the rodeo grounds and handicap accessible sidewalks, parking and ramps were added to make the 101 Wild West Rodeo more accessible to everyone.

The schedule for this year’s 101 Wild West Rodeo is:

Thursday, June 8 – Community Appreciation Night and Tough Enough to Wear Pink Night. Donations will be made for every pink shirt worn on Thursday night to breast cancer research.

  • PRCA slack #1 at 8:30 am
  • Free BBQ dinner with purchase of a rodeo ticket at 6:00 pm
  • PRCA performance at 8:00 pm
  • PRCA slack #2 at 10:00 pm
  • Concert featuring Ben Burgess after the Rodeo

Friday, June 9 – First Responders Appreciation Night

  • 101 Wild West Rodeo Golf Tournament at the Ponca City Country Club at 9:00 am
  • PRCA Performance at 8:00 pm
  • Concert featuring Chancey Williams at 10:00 pm

Saturday, June 10 – Military Appreciation Night

  • PRCA Steer Roping at 8:30 am
  • 101 Wild West Rodeo Parade – Downtown Ponca City at 10:00 am with Parade Marshall Pistol Pete
  • Kids Rodeo at Ponca City Library, 515 E. Grand after the Parade with games and Pistol Pete
  • PRCA Performance at 8:00 pm
  • Concert featuring Dillon Carmichael at 10:00 pm
