Oklahoma Covid Update

Oklahoma-

According to daily numbers released by the Oklahoma State Department of Health, 2,239 new coronavirus cases were reported in the state since Friday.

A total of 1,015,935 COVID-19 cases have been reported since the beginning of the pandemic, and the provisional death count went up to 14,425 since the state last reported an updated death count on February 18th.

The rolling seven-day average of new cases is 918, the health department said Tuesday.

Currently, 9,112 Oklahomans are considered active cases in the state, OSDH said.

As of Feb. 15, 5,665,839 total vaccine doses have been administered with 2,756,873 Oklahomans receiving at least one dose. More than 2,202,000 Oklahomans have completed both inoculations or are fully vaccinated, making 55.7% of the eligible Oklahoma population is fully vaccinated.

About 761 Oklahomans are currently in acute care OSDH-licensed facilities with 181 in the ICU and 46 are currently in other types of facilities due to COVID-19. Out of the 761 hospitalizations, 51 are pediatric hospitalizations, OSDH said.
