OKLAHOMA CITY –

Fifty-two virus-related deaths and 2,042 new coronavirus cases were reported in the state since Wednesday, according to daily numbers released by the Oklahoma State Department of Health.

A total of 652,731 COVID-19 cases have been reported since the beginning of the pandemic, and the provisional death count went up to 11,633, the state health department said on Friday.

OSDH did not release a COVID-19 cases update due to the Veterans Day holiday Thursday.

The seven-day rolling average for new cases reported was 646 cases, the state health department said.

Currently, 6,075 Oklahomans are considered active cases in the state, OSDH said.

As of Tuesday, November 9, 2021, 4,608,699 total vaccine doses have been administered with 2,387,803 prime doses have been given by the state. More than 2,001,200 Oklahomans have completed both inoculations or are fully vaccinated.

The state health department advises anyone with COVID-19 symptoms such as shortness of breath, fever, or coughing to stay home and limit person-to-person engagement.

The state coronavirus hotline is 877-215-8336 or 211. For a list of coronavirus (COVID-19) links and resources, click here.
