DAVIS, Okla. (AP) — Authorities say a south Oklahoma man was fatally shot by police after taking an officer’s gun. The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation says Christopher George died after being shot late Wednesday outside a home in Davis, about 70 miles south of Oklahoma City.

The OSBI says the officer was investigating a reported disturbance at the home and encountered George, who began fighting with the officer, eventually taking the officer’s gun and firing a shot as a second Davis officer arrived. The second officer then shot George several times, killing him.

The names of the officers have not been released.
