Debra Ann (Denning) Lovell, 66, of Blackwell, Oklahoma, passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Debra was born on January 3, 1960, in Blackwell, Oklahoma, to Francis Linus Denning and Laurabelle (Reinert) Denning. She graduated from Blackwell High School in 1978 and studied business technology at Pioneer Technology Center. She made her home in Blackwell, where she raised her seven children and devoted many years to being a homemaker while they were growing up and attending school.

Debra’s home was always full of children, love, and activity. Family was the center of her life, and nothing meant more to her than having the people she loved gathered around her. She created a home where everyone was welcome, and the many children who passed through her door knew they had a place where they belonged.

After her children were older, Debra began working at Subway in Blackwell, where she became manager and remained for eight years. For the last 15 years, she worked alongside her longtime companion, Donovan Shangreaux, in refineries throughout the United States. Together, Debra and Donovan spent 19 years sharing a life filled with work, travel, family, and countless memories.

Debra is survived by her loving companion, Donovan Shangreaux; her seven children, Ryan Lovell and Dallas, T.J. Lovell (Cara), Aaron Lovell, Keenan Lovell and Stephanie, Trevor Lovell and Mandi, Cody Lovell, and Amber Lovell and James; and her 20 grandchildren: Jordan, Blake, Austin, Isaac, Annika, Dade, Gavin, Madden, Kaden, Kaleb, Kyra, Kiana, Adeline, Maddox, Aden, Cooper, Abel, Camden, Bentley, and Henry.

She is also survived by her siblings, Tim (Cathy) Denning of Tonkawa, Oklahoma; Lorrine (Jim) McKain of Blackwell; Janet Irons of Blackwell; Corlene (J.R.) Miller of Emporia, Kansas; and Sherri Denning of Blackwell.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis Linus and Laurabelle Denning; her brother, Ronald Denning; and her niece, Tiffany Renee Mazurier.

Debra will be remembered most for the love she had for her family and for the warmth of a home that was rarely quiet and never short on children. Her life was built around the people she loved, and the memories she created with them will continue to be treasured by everyone fortunate enough to have known her.

Public visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at Roberts and Son Funeral Home. The Rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. that evening at the funeral home.

Serving as casket bearers will be Jordan Fairchild, Blake Lovell, Austin Lovell, Camden Lovell, Dade Lovell and Annika Lovell. Honorary casket bearers will be her sons, Ryan Lovell, T.J. Lovell, Aaron Lovell, Keenan Lovell, Trevor Lovell, and Cody Lovell.

A mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Blackwell, with Father Balaswami Bathini officiating. Burial will follow at Blackwell Cemetery.
