Jacob “Jake” Dylan Martinez, 27 of Blackwell, Oklahoma, passed away August 21, 2026, at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Jacob Dylan Martinez was born in Durango, Colorado, on August 2, 1999, to Randy and Robbin (Martin) Martinez. He was the youngest of four, welcomed by his sisters and brother: Elisha, Kyle, and Kristen.

He attended kindergarten at Christian Life Academy in Santa Fe, New Mexico, before the family moved to Blackwell. He would attend Blackwell Public Schools where he enjoyed playing the saxophone and being a part of the band / orchestra. He attended church at the First Free-Will Baptist, where he was baptized in July of 2009, and enjoyed attending AWANA, and later the youth group at Immanuel Baptist Church. He continued his High School education at Blackwell High, graduating with the class of 2017.

Following graduation, he ventured out on his own. He lived in Edmond, Oklahoma, before returning home to Blackwell. He would work at Venture Foods in Tonkawa, Oklahoma, where he excelled to the position of Assistant Manager. He rededicated his life to our Lord and Savior on August 13, 2026.

Jake loved spending his free time watching anime, playing games, listening to music, and hanging out with friends and family. He was loved by every acquaintance he came across. He treated his nieces and nephews as if they were his own children, and they all will cherish him dearly. He will be deeply missed by all those blessed enough to meet him.

He is preceded in death by his sister, Ashley; along with many other loved ones.

He is survived by his parents, Randy and Robbin; his sister: Elisha Housenga and husband, Joseph; his brother, Kyle Schofield; and sister, Kristen Jacobs and husband James; his grandmother, Kay Martin; his grandfather, James Martin and wife, Pat; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and one great-nephew, Storm.

Public Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM—7:00 PM, Thursday, August 27, 2026, at Roberts and Son Funeral Home. Family will be present from 10:00 AM.

A Funeral Service has been scheduled for 10:00 AM, Friday, August 28, 2026, at the First Free Will Baptist Church, with Rev. Kevin Bookout, Ret. officiating. Burial to follow in the Blackwell Cemetery.

Casketbearers include Douglas Clark, Trevin Holt, Kyle Schofield, Sr., Kyle Schofield, Jr., Barrett Teston, and Alex Hernandez.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jacob’s honor may be made to First Free-Will Baptist Church c/o Roberts and Son Funeral Home.
