John Michael Yates, 64, beloved Son, Brother, Husband, and Papa, was called to his eternal resting place on June 18, 2026. He entered this world on June 14, 1962, in Toul, Rosieres, France, born to Raymond and Angela Maria Gonzales Yates.
John, came to the United States as a young child and grew up in Des Arc, Arkansas, John met the love of his life, Debra Drapalla and they were married April 05, 1996, and they made their first home in Webb City, OK. John enjoyed Fishing, watching football and spoiling his grandchildren.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife Debra Yates of the home. Children, Greg Yates and wife Crissy of Checotah, OK, Ashley Longcrier and husband, Adam of Newkirk, OK, grandchildren, Taylor Nichols and husband, Timmy, Allyson Mathis and husband, Josh, Kiley Batchelor and husband, Ryan, Landon Yates, Penny Lane Longcrier, and Sophia Yates. Also surviving are his two brothers; Will Yates and wife Samantha of Eastern, AR, Kevin Yates and wife, Rosalinda of Waco, TX, two sisters, Judy Yates-Chambers and Jeff Huber of Whitehall, AR, and Christi Inman of Des Arc, AR Nieces and nephews; Marisa Lewellyn, Chad Lewellyn, Brandie Samples, Shanna Fallis, Brian Yates and Tiffany Mack.
John was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Raymond Yates Jr and one nephew, Tre Partain.
Celebration of Life services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, July 3, 2026 in the Rise Up Church, 201 S. Walnut Ave Newkirk, OK 74647
