PCPD Make Drug Arrest After Minor Traffic Violation Stop

On June 17th, Ponca City police officers conducted a traffic stop for a minor traffic violation. During the stop, probable cause was developed to search the vehicle and its occupants.

A female officer arrived on the scene and conducted a search of Alyssa Hubbard, 19, of Ponca City. During the search, officers located approximately 21.9 grams of methamphetamine concealed on her person. Additional evidence, including marijuana and drug paraphernalia, was located inside an article of clothing found in the vehicle that contained identification belonging to Hubbard.

During the investigation, Hubbard became angry and made multiple threats to kill one of the officers on the scene.

Hubbard was arrested and transported to the Kay County Detention Center on the following charges:

• Trafficking Methamphetamine
• Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
• Obstructing an Officer
• Threats and/or Intimidation of a Law Enforcement Officer
• Unlawful Possession of Marijuana (Second or Subsequent Offense)

These are charges, not convictions.
