While we celebrate the freedoms we have as a nation, we also recognize that every good gift comes from the Lord—and that true freedom is found in Jesus.

Come celebrate the life and legacy of Paul Schatte, a beloved member of First Lutheran Church & School and a true BBQ legend. The Schatte Memorial BBQ Cookoff, started in 2020, honors Paul’s impact on our community, his dedication to teaching, and his incredible love for BBQ.

Come hungry and enjoy mouth-watering BBQ samples from some of the best grill masters around.

Tasting kits are completely FREE, thanks to the generosity of our sponsors. Donations are always appreciated.
