OSAGE COUNTY, Okla. –
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating a motorcycle crash that killed a Ponca City man in Osage County.
According to state troopers, 44-year-old Jeremy Bearden was traveling on US-60 east of County Road when a box fell off the back of his motorcycle.
Investigators said Bearden pulled onto the shoulder after losing the box and then attempted to turn around.
Troopers said Bearden was struck by another vehicle during the maneuver.
Bearden died from injuries sustained in the crash. The motorcycle passenger was also injured.
The driver of the other vehicle went into a ditch following the collision but was not injured, according to troopers.
