Lyda Walker

The family of Lyda (Hopkins) Walker of Ponca City, is saddened to announce her passing on May 28, 2026, at the age of 82 years. Her memorial will be at Hartford Avenue Church of Christ, in Ponca City, Oklahoma, on Friday, June 5, at 2 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory, 505 W Grand Ave, Ponca City, OK 74601.
Lyda and Bill were married 60 years and had two daughters Angela Walker, of Ponca City, and Rebecca (Walker) Treece and husband Brandon Treece, of Okarche. They have two grandchildren, Caleb Foust-Treece, of Owasso, and Avery Treece, of Okarche. Lyda is preceded in death by her parents William and Wilma Hopkins of Jet, Oklahoma, four brothers Billy (Joyce) Hopkins, of Guymon, Oklahoma, Don (Alma Dee) Hopkins, of Ponca City, Grant (Etta) Hopkins, of Enid, Oklahoma, Loren Hopkins, of Durango, Colorado, and one sister, Lynda Anderson, of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Her brother and sister-in-law, Lynn and Carolyn Hopkins still live in Ponca City, Oklahoma.
Lyda passed peacefully Thursday morning with Bill by her side. Our family is deeply saddened at the loss of our amazing wife, mother, and grandmother. We are also very comforted in the fact that she is a Christian and has been saved, and now is free from her sickness, pain and struggles of this world. We find Peace in knowing that we will all be together again.
