The National Weather Service is monitoring a conditional severe weather threat for our area today into Tuesday morning.
📍 TODAY (Area 2 Timing)
• Earliest storm development: Around 4 PM
• Most likely timing: 5 PM – 8 PM
• Storms moving northeast at 20–30 mph
📍 OVERNIGHT INTO TUESDAY (Area 1 Timing)
• Earliest overnight storms: Around 9 PM
• Most likely timing: 11 PM – 5 AM Tuesday
• Storms moving southeast at 25–35 mph
⚠️ IF storms develop, hazards could include:
• Large hail (up to baseball size possible)
• Damaging winds up to 70 mph
• Tornado potential
At this time, the most likely scenario is limited storm activity this afternoon, followed by a better chance for storms overnight as a cold front moves through.
💨 Outside of storms, strong south winds of 25–35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph are expected today. Secure loose outdoor items and use caution while driving high-profile vehicles.
