TULSA, Okla. –
The University of Tulsa is investigating a reported hazing incident involving the Kappa Sigma fraternity house.
University officials confirmed the investigation and say they are taking the report seriously.
University response
In a statement, the university said:
“The University of Tulsa is investigating a report of hazing on campus. The university has clear processes in place to examine, evaluate and respond to reported incidents of inappropriate student behavior. We take this issue very seriously and have zero tolerance for hazing.”
Campus police report details
According to the University of Tulsa’s incident report, campus police responded to the Kappa Sigma fraternity house on March 24 around 8 p.m.
The report lists:
- Hazing
- Possession of alcohol
- Controlled dangerous substances (CDS)
- Weapons violations
- Larceny
During the investigation, officers confiscated:
- Alcohol
- Controlled substances
- Weapons
- Property belonging to the university
Ongoing investigation
The incident has been referred to Student Affairs and Risk Management for further review.
Officials say the investigation remains ongoing.
