
SAPULPA, Okla. (KOKH) — Investigators say a former instructor has been sentenced to six years in prison after pleading guilty to crimes against children.
On Sept. 12. 2024, the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation was contacted by the Sapulpa Police Department, asking for help investigating a cybertip regarding child sexual abuse material.
OSBI agents say they reviewed the material and discovered several explicit images belonging to 49-year-old Ryan Matthew Matthias.
Matthias is a former instructor at Central Technology Center in Sapulpa and a former law enforcement officer in Creek County.
Matthias was ultimately arrested on multiple charges of child sexual abuse material.
Last month, he pleaded guilty to two counts of possession of child pornography, one count of procurement of child pornography, one count of violation of Oklahoma Computer Crimes Act, and one count of possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
He was sentenced to six years in prison and must register as a sex offender.
