Peachtree Landing will host its 20th Annual Cowboy Ball on May 8, 2026, at the lovely Wildwood Event Center. This year’s theme, Denim & Diamonds, invites guests to pull on their boots and tip their hats to a good cause while enjoying an evening of dinner and good company while supporting Kay County’s only homeless shelter. The event is made possible through the generous support of community sponsors. Peachtree Landing extends special thanks to Hurst Construction, this year’s Grand Buckle Sponsor, and Phillips 66, the Oil Baron Sponsor, for helping make the evening possible. We’re mighty grateful for their continued support of neighbors in need across Kay County.
Peachtree Landing, a United Way of North Central Oklahoma agency, has long served as a place of safety, stability, and second chances for neighbors facing a housing crisis. In recent months, the shelter has entered a new chapter under the leadership of Survivor Resource Network, expanding its reach to better serve the community. For the first time, the shelter now welcomes single men, ensuring that no man, woman, or family in Kay County is left without a safe place to sleep. Intake barriers have also been removed so individuals can access shelter quickly when they are in crisis. As a result, Peachtree Landing served more individuals in 2026 than in the previous two years combined.
The Cowboy Ball is Peachtree Landing’s only fundraiser and proceeds from the evening will support the shelter’s operations. Tickets for the event are $100 per person! Community members who cannot attend but wish to support the effort are encouraged to pony up a donation. The folks at Peachtree Landing would be much obliged, and every contribution helps ensure the shelter remains a place where neighbors can weather the storm, catch their breath, and get back in the saddle again.
