Matt Pinnell announced he will not be a candidate for governor or any other elected office this year, ending speculation about his political future.
In a public statement made on Facebook, Pinnell said he and his wife, Lisa, previously decided they were ready for a new chapter outside politics. He said recent developments involving Oklahoma’s congressional delegation prompted renewed conversations but did not change their decision.
“I will not be a candidate for any elected public office this year,” Pinnell wrote.
