The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported that a fatal collision occurred at 3:01 p.m. Friday afternoon at the intersection of US-60 and North Avenue.
The Highway Patrol’s report indicates that a vehicle driven by Thomas Pritchard, 32, of Ponca City was traveling westbound on U.S. 60, departed the roadway to the left, impacted the guardrail and a street sign, then rolled and came to rest on its top, where it caught fire. The report notes that seatbelts were not in use.
The accident was investigated by Trooper Jacob Huffstetler #620 of Troop K.
The Highway Patrol notes that information was reported during the preliminary stages of the investigation and that all information could be subject to change.
