PCPD Traffic Stop Results in Drug and Firearm Charges

Thursday evening, Officers with the Ponca City Police Department, the District Attorney’s Office and the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics conducted a traffic stop in Ponca City. During the investigation, PCPD K9 Maxx was deployed and positively indicated the odor of illegal drugs in the vehicle.

As a result, 40 year old Jonathan Chambray was arrested at the scene.
Chambray is being charged with Trafficking Methamphetamine AFC, Possession of a Firearm AFC, Possession of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of Drug Proceeds.
Investigators located 70 grams of methamphetamine and over $3,000.00 in cash.
Chambray has multiple previous felony convictions that include Distribution of Narcotics, Burglary, Escape from Custody and Bail Jumping.
His new charges are arrests, not convictions.
