TULSA, OKLA. (KTUL) — Brennan Marcotte, a former band director for Inola Public Schools, is facing a felony charge for possession of child sexual abuse material.
The Rogers County Sheriff’s Office discovered more than 40 AI-generated images of child pornography on Marcotte’s phone after obtaining a search warrant.
The investigation began when the Inola superintendent reported inappropriate messages involving a student and a former student.
Sheriff Scott Walton emphasized the importance of addressing such cases promptly to prevent potential harm to real victims.
“One of the things you want to do is immediately protect children from a predator like this,” said Walton.
Marcotte, who was named Band Director of the Year by the Mid-East Oklahoma Band Directors Association in 2024, has posted a $50,000 bond.
