Newkirk woman injured in collision in Kay County

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported that a personal injury collision occurred at 3:46 p.m. Friday afternoon at the intersection of County Road S and County Road Brake in Kay County.

The first vehicle was driven by James McWilliams, 69, of Blackwell. He was reportedly uninjured.

The second vehicle was driven by Anita Denney, 58, of Newkirk. She was reported to have been injured.

According to the Highway Patrol’s report, McWilliams ran a stop sign and Denney’s vehicle T-boned McWilliams’ vehicle. The report notes that McWilliams was not wearing a setablet and Denney was.

The accident was investigated by Trooper Holden Brown #308 of Troop K.

The Highway Patrol notes that information was reported during the preliminary stages of the investigation and that all information could be subject to change.
