The Tulsa County Public Defender’s Office has confirmed that Chance Bennett is no longer employed with their office.

Bennett had come under harsh criticism for comments she made on her Facebook page following the assassination of Charlie Kirk. Bennett, who works in the juvenile division, posted online that she was glad Kirk was no longer alive, claiming he had caused harm.

Here’s the statement from the Chief Public Defender:

“I cannot comment on specific confidential personnel information. I can confirm that Ms. Bennett is no longer employed with the Tulsa County Public Defender’s Office.”

Sincerely,

Lora Howard
