Shortly after 2:00 Sunday morning, PCPD officers responded to the 400 Block of South Palm for a report of multiple gunshots. When Officers arrived, they located three individuals with gunshot wounds at 408 S. Palm. Officers immediately began taking life saving measures and applied tourniquets to one of the victims in an effort to limit blood loss. Each of the victims were transported from the scene via Ponca City ambulance and one of the victims was pronounced dead at the hospital. That victim has been identified as 39 year old, Francis Rhodd.
The other two victims, both of which are female, are reportedly in stable condition and are currently receiving medical care for their injuries. Their names are not being released at this time.
We are actively investigating this incident and the safety of Ponca City citizens is our top priority. Cooperation from the public is crucial in these types of investigations and we humbly ask for the public to step forward with any information they may have about what occurred Sunday morning.
