Ponca City, OK – Pioneer Technology Center (PTC) has once again received the Gold Star School Award from the Oklahoma Association of Career & Technology Education (OkACTE). This honor recognizes technology centers with outstanding programs that go above and beyond to serve their communities.
This marks the 23rd year PTC has met and exceeded the rigorous standards for student retention, job placement, quality instruction, recruitment and guidance, assessments, and business and industry training.
PTC Superintendent/CEO Traci Thorpe shared, “Earning the Gold Star School Award once again is a true testament to the dedication of our staff and the strong relationships we have with our community and industry partners. It’s a privilege to see the impact of our shared commitment in helping students and businesses succeed.”
The Gold Star School designation is valid for 12 months, and each technology center must reapply annually to maintain the title.
