PONCA CITY, OK –– Pioneer Technology Center (PTC) recently hosted its Pre-Nursing Academy for students entering 8th through 10th grades, offering a dynamic and hands-on introduction to the world of healthcare and nursing.
Guided by PTC Health Careers instructor Mary Bathurst, the Pre-Nursing Academy offered students an engaging look into the world of nursing. The academy provided a meaningful introduction to the healthcare field, igniting students’ interest in nursing and encouraging them to start thinking about their future career paths.
One memorable lesson included CPR training using the rhythm of the classic song “Stayin’ Alive” to guide chest compressions, a fun and effective way to reinforce a life-saving skill.
