A new political party is launching in Oklahoma, dubbed the Sooner State Party.

The group’s message is, no more red, no more blue, just Oklahomans charging forward together. The group held a press conference at the Neal Center for Justice in Oklahoma City on July 4.

During the presser, officials said people are tired of arguing and not being represented and of judging someone’s worth based on their registration. The Sooner State Party aims to unite Oklahomans.

The group said its platform is the Oklahoma Standard, meaning it supports a strong military, law enforcement, unions, and teachers.

“We believe that no child should be left behind in education, healthcare, nutrition, or opportunities. We revere and honor tribal governance, and believe in their right to govern their citizens and their territories, because first nations are sovereign nations,” the group wrote in a press release.

It also believes in being fiscally conservative, having a balanced state budget, the right to bear arms, and the rule of law.
