Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. joined Governor Kevin Stitt at the State Capitol on Thursday to launch the “Make Oklahoma Healthy Again” campaign.

The initiative aims to promote health policies, medical freedom, and a return to personal responsibility.

The press conference took place at 11 a.m. in the Second Floor Rotunda of the Oklahoma State Capitol Building.

In 2021, a bill known as HB2335 was introduced by State Rep. Jay Steagall, which would have restricted governmental entities in Oklahoma from mandating vaccines on the general public. It was an effort to recognize the individual’s right to determine and act according to their own personal health needs, Rep. Steagall said. However, the measure never became law.
