Just before 11:00 am this morning, a PCPD Officer was patrolling the area of 14th Street, just south of Highland. While patrolling, he recognized an individual who had confirmed felony warrants out of Kay County for First Degree Burglary and Assault with a Dangerous Weapon.
As the Officer approached, the male subject ran and the officer chased him. After a short foot pursuit, the Officer took 42 year old Lorenzo Hester into custody for his warrants and resisting arrest. Hester also had various illegal narcotics in his possession at the time of his arrest. In addition to the previously listed charges, after the Officer weighed and tested the narcotics, Hester is being charged with possession of a controlled substance and Aggravated Trafficking of Fentanyl.
14th Street was temporarily shut down to facilitate a response from responding Officers and PCFD medics. There is no danger to the public and the situation has been resolved.
