Ponca City Public Schools celebrate Public Schools Week

Ponca City Now - February 25, 2020 10:58 am

Feb. 24-28 has been designated as National Public Schools Week, which is a national initiative to celebrate the achievements public schools are making and honor the significant contributions and accomplishments of students, parents, educators and education advocates.

Public schools are building the nation’s future. Nine out of 10 students in the United States attend public schools –more than 50 million – regardless of ability, race, wealth, language, religion or country of origin.

“Please join us in celebrating the impact of public education and the outstanding things happening in our schools,” said PCPS Public Relations Director Mary Ladd. “We would also like to say thank you to our community for supporting our public schools and helping us be successful.”
