Ponca City Junior High Wrestling Team crowned 2019-2020 State Champions

The Ponca City Junior High Wrestling team was crowned 2019-2020 State Champions of the 45th annual All State Junior High Tournament. The tournament was held at the State Fairgrounds in Oklahoma City inside the Jim Norick Arena. The tournament hosted 145 teams and over 1,800 wrestlers from across the state.

In addition to the Team Championship, Ponca City had one state champion, Gabe Roland. State finalists include Ryker Agee, Cameron Jackson and Rayden Agee. Other team members placing at the two-day event were, Chris Kiser 3rd, Caden Kelley 4th Devon Miller 5th, and Preston Lee 6th.

Ponca City Junior High Head Coach Justin Roland and Assistant Coach Richard Agee were named Coaches of the Year.

“I would like to congratulate Head High School Coach Jared Wynn, Justin Roland and Richard Agee as this is a true team effort!” said Jason Leavitt, Ponca City Public School Athletic Director.
