A semi driver was flown to St. Anthony’s in Oklahoma City after veering off the road yesterday afternoon.

Mark Schumaker, 27 of Port Angeles, Wash. was admitted with internal head and trunk injuries and is in stable condition.

Department of Public Safety said once Schumaker departed the road he over corrected, overturned onto the passenger side and slid to a stop.

The semi was partially on the road and partially off in the northbound lane of I-35 two miles south of Perry.

Schumaker’s condition was apparently normal and the cause of the accident is still under investigation.
