Movie Rebate Bill Passes House

Ponca City Now - March 4, 2014 3:47 pm

HB 2580, the bill that would extend the movie rebate credit to companies who film in Oklahoma passed the Oklahoma House of Representatives today by a vote of 63-27. Complete voting is available here http://www.okhouse.gov/54LEG/okh01310.txt

The measure helps attract film makers to the state. Well over 40 other states have similar incentives. With the talk of a major movie being made about the life of E.W. and Lydie Marland here in Ponca City many felt it was crucial for the incentive to be extended if there was a chance of filming to take place here at the Marland Mansion.
