16-year-old girl killed in collision near Red Rock

A fatal collision occurred Tuesday afternoon about 4 p.m. on US 177 0.1 miles south of State Highway 15 west, approximately 6 miles east of Red Rock, OK in Noble County. 

A 16-year-old Stillwater girl driving a 2010 Honda Pilot, was pronounced dead at the scene by Ponca City EMS.

A passenger, Carlyn Quigley 52, of Stillwater was transported by MediFlight to OU Medical, treated and released.

A 1-year-old girl of Stillwater was not injured.

The Honda was travelling southbound and the driver attempted to pass a separate southbound vehicle and collided with a Chevrolet Silverado, driven by Stephen Curfman, 34, of Ponca City.

He was transported by Perry EMS to Perry Hospital, then transported by Perry EMS to OU Medical Center where he was admitted in stable condition with leg injuries.

A passenger, Cole Soutter, 19, of Ponca City, was transported by Ponca City EMS to Alliance Health, then to St. Francis by Medford EMS. He was admitted in stable condition with head injuries.

A second passenger, Jessen Hodges, age 23, of Lamont, OK. Was transported by Ponca City EMS to Alliance Health but was not admitted. He was pinned in the truck for about 30 minutes before being freed by Ponca City EMS and Perry EMS. The road was closed for four hours.
