Perry man dies in collision

A 19-year-old Perry man died in a collision at U.S. 64 and County Road 136, about 3.5 miles east of Perry, at 8 p.m. Sunday.

Brendon Koch w3as driving a 2008 Chevrolet when the collision occurred. He was transported by Perry Fire/EMS to Perry Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

A juvenile male and juvenile female who were passengers in Koch’s vehicle also were transported to the Perry Memorial Hospital. Both were admitted in stable condition with head injuries.

Koch’s vehicle collided with  a 2002 Ford driven by Shelli Burk, 50, of Stillwater. She was trahsported to Perry Memorial Hospital, where she was admitted in stable condition with a head injury.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol  said Koch’s vehicle was northbound on the private road and Burk was eastbound on U.S. 64. Koch failed to yeild at the stop sign and struck Burk’s vehicle on the driver’s side. The Highway Patrol is continuing its investigation.
