Huskies defeat OU in Women’s College World Series

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) – Washington freshman Gabbie Plain threw 5 2/3 strong innings to help the Huskies defeat two-time defending national champion Oklahoma 2-0 on in the Women’s College World Series.

Oklahoma pitcher Paige Parker got the loss. She entered the game with an 8-0 career record in WCWS play.

Washington will play Oregon on Friday. The Sooners will play Arizona State in an elimination game on Saturday.
