50 New Jobs In Ponca City

The Albertson’s Warehouse in town is creating more than 50 new jobs.

There will be a job fair tomorrow at Workforce Oklahoma from 10-3.

Mike Daugherty, Ponca City Development Authority Work Force Development manager said the positions are open to everyone.

“This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking for an entry level position," Daugherty said. "The company is willing to train. Starting wages is $12 an hour and progresses in less than two years to over $16 an hour.”

There will be opportunities for advancement and a great benefit packages.

The benefits are medical, dental, vision, short term disability, long term disability and company paid life insurance with voluntary additional life insurance.

There are minimal requirements for the positions.

Daugherty said promptness is an important factor.

The work schedule is four work days a week with only two consecutive days.

They are 10 hour shifts and you would be required to work two Saturdays a month.

“The basics are going to be of course passing the background check and being able to lift 50-75 pounds," Daugherty said. " Other than that they are really looking for individuals who are looking for longterm employment and who have a good work ethic.”

Having forklift experience is a plus.

They run a goal oriented system and reward meeting goals.

You can get from $65 to $650 for meeting goals in the first two years.

The company is also willing to work around school schedules.

They suggest you have a good working phone number with a voicemail set-up.
