Oklahoma hires assistant head coach for offense

NORMAN, Okla. (AP) – Oklahoma has hired Georgia assistant Shane Beamer as assistant head coach for offense. Oklahoma made the announcement in a news release. Beamer also will coach Oklahoma’s tight ends and H-backs. He was the special teams coordinator and tight ends coach at Georgia the past two seasons. Oklahoma coach Lincoln Riley says Beamer will also help assistant coach Jay Boulware oversee the special teams.
