OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) – About 90 World War II veterans will travel next Tuesday from Oklahoma to the nation’s capital to see the memorial built in their honor.

The trip is part of the Oklahoma Honor Flight program. It’s the 15th flight since the local group was established.

The event will kick off with a ceremony and reception on Oct. 7 at Rose State College before the veterans fly to Washington D.C. on Oct. 8.
